The Wonder of Worship 2. Empty Form or True Worship?

"For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh." Philippians 3: 3

Remember - we are the people of the Spirit. We must worship by the Spirit and in the Spirit. This is first of all a matter of the heart - it is then expressed outwardly.

The Holy Spirit wants to be at home in us - wants to be himself in us. Say - "Lord, I do love you. I want to do what you say."

We have been born again by the Spirit of God and we are now able to do what only reborn people can do - worship and serve the living God under the impulse of the Holy Spirit.

We must worship God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - on a level far different and above that which is simply emotion and entertainment - put no confidence in the flesh.

Each of us says, "God, it's you I worship." Delight yourself in the Lord - then you will see what only God can do.
